Question: Marital issues and being forgiven by God

"If an unmarried man met and lived with a separated partner and have family, what is the way to make sure that in the end the forgiveness of God will be attained specially if the woman has not yet made legal settlements with her husband (who also have a new family) in the form of divorce or annulment."

 

ANSWER:

 

I can only give a Bible answer to this question.  My opinion and any other person's opinion does not matter. What matters is what the word of God says. Let us read what that word says:

 

About living with a sexual partner we are not married to:

 

1 Corinthians 7:2; says:  "Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."  We are not to have somebody else's husband or wife, or somebody who is not our husband or wife. That relationship is fornication or adultery, and is sin.  1 Corinthians 6:9-10; says we are not to be deceived, unrighteous people (including fornicators) shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

 

Men and women are not to live together outside of marriage. Such is common today, and society often accepts it.  God does not accept it, but calls it fornication. God created marriage as a relationship for man and woman.

 

About marrying someone divorced from another mate:

 

Romans 2:2; reads: "For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adultress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adultress, though she be married to another man.

 

Jesus also spoke about divorce and remarriage in Matthew 19:9; which reads:  "And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.  

 

From these verses we learn we are not to marry someone else's husband or wife. If someone has a living mate, and marries another person -- they commit adultery.  Unlike men and women, God makes marriage for life.  Matthew 19:6; reads:  "...What God has joined together, let not man put assunder." Only when a person puts their mate away for fornication, does Christ allow them to remarry without sin.

 

I know this answer is not popular today. However, from the verses above, it is what the word of God says.
